The bar at BENEN-DIKEN-HOF is the meeting point in the evening.
Here it is cosy, here you can have a chat, sometimes you argue,
then reconciled again, here you get to know each other, here you are private,
here delicious Jever is “twisted” into the bulbous beer glasses –
a specialty of the house.
It gets exciting when the host Claas-Erik Johannsen
once again takes over the bar service. Then he tells about that,
what is going on on the island, from current as well as from
old stories. He knows everything about the island … and what he does not know,
this cannot be true.
What would you like to drink? Here in the bar, guests can also choose from the extensive wine list, which they already know from the restaurant. Many a person continues to drink the wine that they already liked there. Especially recommended are of course the house wines “Edition . BENEN-DIKEN-HOF”. And also the sparkling wine with the same label. Then there is of course the best champagne and the whole range of drinks and cocktails. By the way, the beer in the bar is called Jever. After all, you are in Friesland … North Friesland.
Good port wines are the specialty of the house – Taylor, Fonseca, Graham, Beaumont, Dow, Croft, Noval … Vintages, Colheitas, old Tawnies, Reserva, Garrafeiras, Crusted … . And a specialty that Johannsens brought back from Portugal is a refreshing White Port-Tonic.
